How ECU tuning works on a diesel Ford Focus II

On a diesel the ECU decides how much fuel is injected and how hard the turbo works. A remap adjusts those calibrations within safe limits, so the gains show up mainly as extra torque low in the rev range and smoother, more responsive pull.
